The Spanish La Liga started last night and users of the Game State App profited from the Real Betis v Levante Game.
Real Betis started the game as very strong favourites and the Pinnacle starting prices were as follows
R Betis 1.59, The Draw 4.42, Levante 5.89
Levante took the lead in the 38th minute and as we can see from the video below. It shows some very strong trends.
Looking at this game state where the away side took the lead in the 38th minute and it was 0-1 at HT. Over the last 5 seasons in La Liga the home side has only gone on to win in 1 of 55 matches. There have been 8 Draws and the away side have gone on to win in 46 of the 55 matches.
Yet amazingly Betis were still offered as a 3.40 chance to win the game.
Also when we look at the next goal scored market the home side only went on to equalise in 14 of the 55 matches, with the away side going on to score the second goal in 50% (28) of the matches.
There is a real misconception that when the underdog opens the scoring the favourite is most likely to score the second goal.
In cases like this one highlighted Real Betis will almost certainly have more shots in the second half than Levante but these will be less accurate. Whereas Levante will have less shots but these will prove more accurate.
With the European League starting again over the next couple of weeks there are always opportunities presenting themselves and the Game state App certainly highlights the best of them.
